at last 9month check up doctor said one leg a little longer than the other and didnt have a pop when checking his hips”X-ray’s” came back negitive for displasha.
*when in his jumper or bouncer his feet touch the ground but only one foot rest flat othe is kinda a dead leg just hangs their or he will only stand on his tippy toes on that side
*every time i change him as soon as i lay him down on his back he rolls over within seconds if you try to keep him still facing belly up he acts as if his in pain and isnt comfortable unless on his tummy
*when he moves army crawl but only with one leg that pushes the other one just seems to be dragging along same one that is dead in jumper
*he will crawl for a few feet then go on his side take a break for a second then crawl some more or he will stop to suck his thumb or put his head down and suck his thumb as if his sucking in the pain.
He had pyloric stenosis when he was born then had bad reflux gerd and hasnt had alot of problems since except a rash on his mouth and under his nose red dots doctor said it was eczema but thats what he said about the stuff behind his ear wich came off in the bath it was old oatmeal. please help me if you can guess by experince or education i dont think anyone at my doctors office knows what they are doing

Ok, Im a hypochondriac, I’ve had this symptoms before i feel an urge to throw up but not in eating food thought, i don’t have a virus or anything I’ve had MRI scans, EEG, Endoscopy, throat x-ray chest, heart, stomach x-ray blood tests etc. etc !!!!! my age is 15-3=___ so yeh i worry about my health evern though none of the tests show anything, i remember when i had this symptom and i worried and it became worse, but i just feel an urge not like *vomits bagghhhhh* just like idk how to explain…..is it in my head like mind over body?? i eat healthy my dad eats so fast and drinks fast, he eats no fruits and nothing has happened to him, no history of cancer or diseases….so yeah..

Took my 5 week old son for an x-ray of the upper GI today and he was diagnosed with severe acid reflux. He has every symptom listed below. The doctor said that I need to stop breastfeeding and start giving him breast milk thickened with rice cereal, which will be harder for him to reflux. Something seems ‘off’ about giving my 5 week old rice cereal. The other option is medication, which I was told will not stop the reflux but will lessen the burning sensation. Obviously, I’d rather not do that either.
My poor baby is really uncomfortable and I’m at a loss. Nursing is so comforting to him but he refluxes like crazy and he’s in pain. Also, it may seem selfish, but I’m finally getting through the most PAINFUL period of breastfeeding and now I have to quit??
I’ve tried holding him at an angle and even keeping him upright but nothing has helped. I guess I should just pump & thicken it with rice cereal…??

in may 2007 i noticed i was very fatigued. when i moved around my joints got very weak and i had to sit down. 1 night i got very weak and my face got numb and i had trouble breathing i wen 2 the ER and they just did i BP test and it was normal and told me 2 go home. I went 2 my doc the next day and noticed i was a little stiff in my ankles and spine, but i streched and it went away. the doc did a thyroid and mono test, all negative. Then my other joints were stiff, wristis,fingers,elbow,ankle,knees,toes,n… spine. also i was experincing tingling in hands and feet. i went 2 a neurologist and did a MRI of brain, it was normal. i saw all the M.D’s at my docs office they didnt no. i was getting stomach infections like GERD,gastritis. i still get nause when i eat. i finally saw a rumotologist and did some exams and he thinks i my have sernegative spondylarthopthy he gave me some anti-inflamitories and order a spine x-ray and a HLA B27 blood work. plzz i am only 14i want some answer

barium is used in a test for GERD (gastric esophageal reflux disorder) where the patient drinks barium. the barium coats the patients insides to give a better picture. Just wondering why barium specifically is used rather than something else? Thanks!
