When I was about 11, I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux and a Hiatul Hernia.

That was some time ago. It calmed down, so I took myself off Nexium, put myself onto some Prilosec OTC, and eventually took myself off of the OTC meds.

This week, I’ve began to feel the same symptoms as I did when I was 11. Does Acid Reflux come back? Does it heal itself? Should I make an appointment with my gastroenterologist?

I, and alot of people I know, suffer from chronic bouts of acid reflux, Gerd and various acute stomach disorders. What I want is something that provides IMMEDIATE RELIEF and something that is LONG-LASTING meaning that by merely using this product/medication I will get incrementally better. I have been diagnosed with acid reflux and have been taking 1 Nexium tablet daily for about a year and a half. Although it is used for heartburn I have never had heartburn at any time. I wonder if there is a time limit on long you should be on it.
