For the past week or two, I haven’t really been getting hungry and it’s kind of weirding me out.

I went to the doctor last week, but forgot to mention the not hungry thing. Anyway, she said I have acid reflux issues, and prescribed me some Prilosec which I haven’t started taking yet.

But my question: is not being hungry the same as loss of appetite?

I don’t have to force myself to eat or anything, so it’s not really loss of appetite. What happens is I’ll eat breakfast and, maybe three hours later, I’ll wait to see if I get hungry–which, for the past week or so, I haven’t. Usually, I’ll wait 4-5 hours between meals to give myself the chance to get hungry, but it hasn’t been happening.

So I just eat every 4 or so hours because I know I SHOULD be hungry.

I have some symptoms of GERD (lump sensation in throat, gassy stomach and increased burping), so I’m wondering if the excess gas in my stomach could be causing me to not get hungry?
