Paula83 asked: I have taken omeprazole for far too long. My dr did not tell me to limit it to 14 days every 4 months. Now I’m worried. Any permanent damage and how can I treat this thru diet or any alternative medicines?

i went to the emergency room already they didnt say what was wrong they gave me med for my throwing up and stomach pain.went to reg doc they said its acid reflux. i took med for about 3 to 4 days and it has not been workin. ive been eating right also due to my pain. i have constant pain above my navel. starting last night im having sharp pain on my lower right side and i still throw up once in while. they took x-rays of my stomach and they said its irrated on the top and bottom. but if it was acid reflux the medicine would start kicking in. i dont think it is acid. i dont know have the symptoms and i was a never person who would really eat bad plus im very athletic.
