Upper abdominal pain- Dyspepsia?
I am about to go insane here and was wondering if anyone could relate to my story/symptoms.
For the past 6 months or so, I have had this pain/pressure right under my sternum. It literally feels like this area and my stomach are sticking out as far as they possibly can, as if someone is literally inside with their hands pushing outwards. The pain also extends to my back around the same area.
When I eat, it gets 10 times worse. I’ve gotten to the point where I can hardly eat anything. I feel full after 2 bites of food. Even after drinking a glass of water, I feel like I’ve had a 10 course meal and my stomach becomes so swollen, sometimes literally doubling in size.
I’ve been to several Gastroenterologists, had an Endoscopy done, which revealed a small hiatal hernia. Doc says what I am feeling has nothing to do with that, since I don’t have the usual symptoms of gerd, acid relfux, etc…that most people have with hernias. So now I’m being treated for Dyspepsia. None of the medication is working, at all.
I am so incredibly frustrated, as it is taking over my life. I am in constant pain. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Thanks for any info.
