FaZizzle asked: My husband had a mild cold about 3 weeks ago. After a week, he was still just coughing here and there. Nothing big.
Now we’re on to week 4. He STILL has a dry hacking cough that develops ONLY at 7:00 pm and is gone by 9:00 AM. That’s it.
He is using a throat spray to take care of the tickle, the cough really hasn’t changed. It’s a dry cough, similar to a smoker’s cough but for someone who isn’t a smoker nor is around smokers, it’s not quite that.
I’m trying to make him go to the doctor (for one, the annoyance level to hear it at 10:00 when he gets back from work). He’s agreed to go next week (for now).
Any ideas?
No, I’m not asking you to take his symptoms and make a firm diagonses. I just need some clue as to whether I should worry or not.
I’ve been trying to make him take Prilosec, just in case it’s a symptom of GERD. We just started it yesterday, so it hasn’t REALLY improved.

Missy Baybee asked: I have been taking medicine for a little over a week now for my GERD, (otherwise known as acid reflux), and I have this really awful sore throat. I’m not sick, and a sore throat is one of the symtoms of my condition. I’m not really allowed to take pain killers becasue they upset my stomach and make my GERD worse, so what can I do?

meatless_mind asked: I have been having acid reflux symptoms, like bad heartburn and nausea. The doctor told me to avoid anything with citric acid in it, or anything spicy. My 16 yr. old brother told me that people with an upset stomach are recommended to drink Ginger Ale. The third ingredient is citric acid, so I’m not sure if its ok.

Dani B asked: I am currently taking an acid reflux medication for the next 6 weeks. However, I am curious if there are any beneficial foods that will also help? My throat is closing up a lot lately, and although I have eliminated my caffeine intake, it is still bothering me.
